Dark Fibre Africa (DFA) implemented various Oracle Cloud modules (Oracle Cloud Financials, Oracle
Cloud HCM, Oracle Integration Cloud, Oracle Payroll, Oracle EPM and Oracle Procurement), as part
of their initiative to modernise their business and focus on growth. The project, implemented by
APPSolve, went live 4 years ago and since go-live, several additional improvements and initiatives
have been implemented using the available technology.
For example, DFA is using the Oracle Integration Cloud extensively for data flowing from and to the
Oracle Cloud products and third party systems. These include the on-premise payroll system, billing
system, BeBanking payment integration and various other systems.
The pre-built integration flows available for all Oracle products ensures quick implementation and
stability. In addition to these pre-built integration flows, Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) also offers
visual process automation, using drag and drop design to quickly implement these integrations,
aligned to the business requirements.
Jonnathan Steyn-Greeff, Executive: Operational Delivery Services says the OIC enables DFA to
implement business requirements quicker and with great visibility to the processes, across end-to-
end business processes, with the intelligent reporting available within OIC.
The OIC ensures that integration between systems at DFA are stable, visible and easy to maintain.
The use of OIC has increased the business ability to respond to the market by easily moving data
between systems as needed. The result is a holistically tightly integrated environment with better
information flow and reporting between systems.
